Janet Holloway would like to see the
development of a stronger foundation to
support new business growth in Union
County. She would also like to see Union
County’s natural resources, such as lakes
and parks, better preserved for the future.
So many people go out of the county to spend
money. Therefore, she would like to see more
businesses within the county to keep the
money at home. With the right leadership
and development, Union County can become as
industrial and urban as surrounding
counties. As a business owner of 16 years
in Union County, Ms. Holloway understands
the hardships of starting and running a
business in a rural county. She is very
willing to listen to the working people’s
needs and ideas and to present them to our
county commission. Janet Holloway is the
daughter of Hester and the late Clyde
Atkins. Her family is deeply rooted in
Union County and has been for generations.
She is the owner and operator of Janet’s
Hair and Tan and a member of the New
Friendship Baptist Church. The future of
Union County is important to her because of
her family and their futures.
