“I have the experience and the ability to work with groups statewide to help make Union County an even better place to live. One area we absolutely must improve is reducing the drop-out rate in order for Union County to compete in the world arena for higher paying jobs. Union County has unused and underutilized natural and home-grown assets which can be advertised and marketed to bring in business and industry, including attracting more tourism and travel dollars. It’s time we put all of our beautiful lakes, streams, mountains, and valleys to work along with the hard work ethic of the people who are the greatest resource Union County has.”

Mike Williams states that he wants to open up the process of county government so that the people can see what really goes on. Williams offers to bring accountability to purchasing, funding, budgeting, and auditing of the people’s tax dollars.

“Government didn’t make those tax dollars. The people did and the people have a right to know those dollars are spent wisely, correctly, and in accordance with the law,” said Mike Williams.
